ripping open the packages and looking up their pages and while leafing through, catching glimpses of all that is inside. I am so glad we are at this place! It hasn't really been that long. September 4th is when the first invitation went out and it's February 20th and that is 5 -1/2 months. OK, maybe that is long...
At first, I was able to carry on a normal life while sending invites and answering questions. But then, at the start of December things got out of hand. It was holiday time, the due date for submission was past and I had lots to do, juggling Christmas, the pages, getting mail on a daily basis and getting more emails than I knew what to do with. With the help of Deryn taking over the designing of some of the pages and Marie Otero as my sounding board, I got through that period sane, but sleep deprived. It didn't matter though because by then I had adrenaline in my veins giving me the energy to see this all through. A romantic story, isn't it?

Then there was the printer debacle and I thought it was going to be forever before I could finish this thing. Marie said she knew something would happen at some point, she didn't know what exactly and she was right. Yet there was never a time I was going to give up. If I set my mind to something I will keep on doing it until it is done. Oh, well, I guess you know that by now.
Anyway, I want to thank Deryn for all her help, Marie for listening, Ruth Rae for the inspiration that began back over 2 years ago when she had the idea to do her book "A Charming Exchange" when I got the bug to do this "book" myself in collaboration with all the artists that showed up. OH, and my husband who by the end tried to keep his opinions to himself and his lonely looks to a minimum while he kept himself busy making sure our kids got to school, that we were all fed and their homework was done AND they were kissed and tucked in to bed at night. He encouraged me anyway.

It's 128 pages and includes 17 how-to projects and idea pages, specialty pages and chock full of inspiration in full color and hand spiral bound. Really, it does, it is and you will love it!
In the next few days and weeks you may read people's reactions to the zine, once they get a chance to see and read it. I am working on binding up some more and by the end of next week, FRIDAY the 27th AND Monday, March 2nd I will have more zines bound and up for sale. It is a limited edition and when they run out, they are gone.
I did break down later and after the first 50 books I made myself I sent most of the pages out to a printer that was recommended to me highly by a friend because my printer developed a glitch that I was ignorant enough of how to fix that I didn't call Konica Minolta right away to ask about it. I called today and they told me to wipe a short piece of glass inside the printer with a clean piece of kleenex and you know what, my printer is as good as new. Unbelievable! I am so lucky! I lead a charmed life and if I EVER try to complain about anything ever again you have my permission to tell me to shut up.
